The Electrik Fat Bike has an electric assistance motor and is only activated when pedaling. Pedal sensors located on the pedalboard transmit the information to the bike's on-board computer, which operates the engine and instantly shuts down when braking or stopping pedaling. We also have The tr 6 km / h mode when we pull the trigger on the right grip. This feature helps the user to start pedaling, whether on hills, or to facilitate movement in pedestrian mode, next to the bike.

The EFB meets the same safety requirements as conventional bicycles. The use of a helmet or safety vest is not mandatory, but it is still recommended. Since the EFB is considered a bicycle and not a moped, it does not require specific registration or insurance. Bikes with motors greater than 250W need practically everything mentioned in the previous paragraph.

The rear wheel motor has the advantage of not restricting the chain, which the central motor does not. Rear engine assistance also makes it possible to take advantage of the maximum torque from the engine without having to strain the pedals, which makes it very pleasant to use for touring. The EFB has 5 levels of assistance (different speeds) and driving modes (ECO, STANDARD and POWER – see display)

The feeling of using an EFB can be compared to the experience of a classic bike. The motor provides a power of 250 watts and a torque of 80 Nm, which corresponds to what an 80kg rider would have to develop on a 10kg bike to reach a speed of 32km/h on flat terrain. Under normal conditions of use, it provides a real feeling of ease of movement.

The EFB is a bicycle to which an engine has been added, as well as its control and power elements. As on a classic bike, it is possible to shift gears thanks to the 7-speed Shimano Tourney system located on the rear wheel. Proper use of changes optimizes EFB performance and battery life.

You can travel around 40-60 km on a single charge, it all depends on your weight and the level of electrical assistance you use.

The electric bicycle is not a new product. In northern European and Asian countries, it has been around for many years and millions of bicycles have been manufactured. The parts chosen to equip the EFB come from the best brands, which now benefit from this experience and have become very reliable.

- The engine is a BAFANG “brushless”, guarantee of durability. BAFANG is one of the world leaders, and won the prestigious 24H VAE race ahead of Bosch, Shimano and Yamaha teams.

- The batteries are top of the range, equipped with Samsung Li cells. -ion state-of-the-art, which represents a guarantee of its reliability. They are also protected against under and overcharge and are equipped with a cell temperature controller.
In any case, motors and batteries are obviously covered by the 24 month warranty

Our models weigh 27kg. The excess weight of an EFB compared to a conventional bicycle is around 5 to 8 kg, which is not significant when considering the gain provided in the electric assistance.

No, the electrical parts do not require maintenance, it is even recommended not to touch them, otherwise the warranty will be void. Certain parameters in our display must also remain intact so as not to change the behavior of the batteries and motor (battery amps and motor volts)

As the electric bicycle is subject to the same legislation as conventional bicycles, it goes without saying that you are perfectly authorized to use the bicycle lanes.

The EFB is heavier and longer than a conventional bicycle. However, the means of transport remains the same and it is perfectly possible to transport it on the roof of a car, on the hitch ball or on the rear window. Of course, it's up to you to check with your fastening system supplier to see if it can handle the load you want to support.

The EFB bike is identical to a conventional bike. Maintenance/repair operations are carried out in the same way as for a conventional bicycle (change a cable, a tire, brake, lubricate the chain, etc.). You can do it yourself or get in touch with the nearest bicycle dealer.

In relation to specific elements (battery, motor), you should get in touch with a specialist or get in touch with us to study together the best solution and solve your problem as soon as possible. We have a partnership with a bicycle workshop.

Electric bicycles sold in Europe must obtain the EN15194 certification which guarantees compliance with European standards. All EFB models respect this standard.

Battery life is measured in full charge cycles. After this number of cycles, the battery will see its autonomy gradually decrease. Our batteries are designed to maintain peak performance over 700 -1000 charge cycles.

This corresponds to a distance traveled on the order of 15,000 to 50,000 km (equivalent to 3 to 7 years of use), depending on the use made of it. Batteries that are not used for a few months (1-3 months) may lose autonomy.

According to the legislation in force throughout Europe, the bicycles are delivered to the final consumer semi-assembled (unscrewed pedals and steering wheel for placement and tightening), in a closed box, with detailed instructions for assembly and use + step-by-step video step by step on our website.

Upon receiving your order, the customer must check the good condition and good functioning of the EFB, check the conditions of use contained in the user manual and videos explanations provided to you.

If you have little experience with bicycles, the EFB is quite easy to assemble alone or with help, you just have to take into account some mounting points that we exemplify in the video and other less specific ones that can change the operation of the EFB (eg. : inflating the tires, adjusting the tank, inner tube and tires on the rim).

We can supply the bike already assembled by our service partner at an additional cost.

The indicative deadline for a product in stock is 1 week and a half (usually earlier)

Upon receipt of the ordered products, the customer or recipient must check the good condition of the packaging and the functioning of the EFB delivered, and take cognizance of its conditions of use, which are contained in the instructions for use provided to them. In the event that the ordered product is defective or damaged, the customer or recipient must make the reservation with the carrier at the time of delivery.

To be admissible, these reservations must be clear and precise and provide information on the condition of the goods and not on the packaging (“damaged bicycle”, “broken fork”, “damaged paintwork” and not “damaged packaging” ”,“Damaged packaging”). recipient (“subject to control”, “subject to unpacking”) is not admissible. Any claim must be sent to us by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 3 working days of receipt of the products
